
Dr. Matthew Samuel Fine
Originally from South Florida, Dr. Fine grew up in Kendall and graduated from Miami Killian Senior High School before proceeding to Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with honors in 2002.
He matriculated to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and went on to perform his general surgery internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL before completing urology residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
He completed a fellowship in male and female reconstructive surgery, neurology and incontinence with his mentor Dr. Angelo Gousse.
Focus
He performs a wide variety of urologic surgeries but has primary interests in urethroplasty, robotic-assisted laparoscopic reconstruction, artificial urinary sphincter placement for male incontinence, incontinence surgery for women, and kidney stone treatment and prevention.
He performs in-office procedures such as cystoscopy, urodynamics, prostate ultrasound and biopsy, vasectomy, circumcision, Posterior Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS), Interstim, and genitourinary ultrasound.
Affiliation & Hobbies
Dr. Fine is a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Urodynamics, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction.
When he is not treating patients or attending seminars, Dr. Fine enjoys music and opera, watching and playing a variety of sports, and cooking/eating.
He also enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren, an allergist at the University of Miami, his daughter Emma, and their two dogs Rasha and Dillon.
